John Ryan, like many Novocastrians, came from somewhere else. That was 25 years ago and for 24 of those years, he has been in legal practice in Newcastle and Lake Macquarie.

Much of John’s legal experience has been in the area of plaintiff based personal injury. In that context, he has acted in all areas of personal injury. He is a skilled negotiator and has always strived to secure early settlements for clients. He joined King Street Lawyers in 1999 and in recent years, has taken on a significant role in the firm’s large medical litigation practice.

During the course of John’s lengthy legal career, he has dealt with most types of litigation commonly conducted in the Newcastle region including family law, commercial disputes, estate litigation and criminal law.

In years gone by and before moving to Newcastle, John worked as builders labourer and jackeroo. One of his important goals in life is to maintain his sense of humour.
